Bonke Ntimane is a highly respected mining executive and the Chief Executive Officer of Tlou Mining Services. With a strong technical foundation and extensive operational leadership experience, he drives performance excellence across underground and surface mining operations.

…is an accomplished leader whose career reflects deep technical expertise, strong strategic capability, and proven operational execution. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand and an MBA from Edinburgh Business School (Heriot-Watt University), equipping him with both engineering precision and business acumen.
His professional credentials include a Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency (Fiery Mines), underscoring his thorough understanding of mining operations and safety-critical environments. He has also completed the Advanced Management Programme at IESE Business School, as well as executive and strategic development training through Bain Academy, further strengthening his leadership and transformation capabilities.
Throughout his career, Bonke has held senior leadership roles at leading global mining organisations including Petra Diamonds, Thungela Resources, and Anglo American. As General Manager within these organisations, he successfully led large-scale operations and implemented strategic initiatives such as Management Operating Systems (MOS), operational mergers, and productivity optimisation programmes.
Bonke is widely regarded as a dynamic change agent with the ability to manage complex operations in demanding environments. His leadership philosophy centres on disciplined execution, continuous improvement, stakeholder alignment, and uncompromising safety standards.
